Presenting the Business Opportunity

The presentation step is where your prospect is given a complete story of your business. This should include an overview of the compensation plan, some product details, company history, and a bit about your company owners.

I like to keep things simple, and use tools to do the presentation.

My personal favorite is an online presentation with videos, and written words — some people prefer to read their information, others like to watch a movie.  The advantage of an online presentation is that it’s possible to have complete tracking of what the prospects watched, how often they came back to review additional information, and of course built in follow-up with an autoresponder.

Some people like to meet face to face either one on one or in a small group.  This is a great way to do a presentation, but not my favorite (I’m a cacooner, and prefer to use the internet for presentations)  I think it’s best to lean on tools to do the heavy lifting in person.  Gather everyone and play a dvd or two that gives the presentation, and then be available to answer questions.  These types of meetings actually blend the presentation and validation into one, which is a good way to compress time.

Finally, a very successful way to do a presentation is to share a CD.  Most companies leaders have put together very persuasive presentation, often recorded from a live meeting, that do an outstanding job of presenting your companies story.  The key to success with this method is to edify the speaker and build value in the CD so that your prospects will actually listen to the material.

As mentioned, the “system” we’re talking about has many variations. The key is to find out what works best for you, and use that, but don’t expect everyone you bring on to want to do it your way — just let them know other ways of doing the same basic function and show them the resources for learning how.

Do that and you’ve done your job as a sponsor.
