Too many marketers write great articles but pay little attention to the headline. You see, if a reader makes up their mind not to read an article simply by making an assumption from the headline then you’ve wasted your time.

Your Headline Must Be Relevant

1. Do a search for article directories on your favorite search engine. Some of the better known directories include Ezine Articles, Go Articles and Search Warp.
2. These directories generally have a localized search facility within them. Do a search for what ever term you’re looking for…for example, Renegade Network Marketer.
3. You will get a list of results. Now check the articles which come up and before you study the headline, look at how many times the article has been viewed. You’ll soon get an idea of which articles are more popular by the number of views they’ve had.
4. Once you have a list then study the headline. Now, can you adopt a similar headline to your article? Don’t copy it word for word but look at the words being used around the main keyword such as “Why” “7 Ways” “The Truth” etc.
5. You can do this for any topic and check to see which are the more popular articles and then adopt the same style to your Renegade Marketer articles. Look for the words around the main keywords and see if you can use them around your main keywords.
6. Just make sure the headline makes sense and it relates to your article when you write it.
