Your target audience as a network marketer would presumably be home business seekers. This is fine, but do a search for home business online and you’ll get a “trillion” results.
Like affiliate marketing, targeting should be niche specific and while home business seekers are good prospects, drilling down into this niche makes a lot of sense. Within the home business umbrella, there are several opportunities in different areas and picking your mark should be your main aim.
For network marketers, marketing to other network marketers on face value may be a waste of time but if you think like this then you would be way off the mark. You see, network marketing is a tough business with a high attrition rate and the fallout factor is the key element when looking for prospects for your own business.
Network marketers are in different phases - those doing well and not looking; those dissatisfied with their current opportunity and those simply between MLM companies. The reality is, network marketers do switch companies but where definitely not advocating this as you marketing message.
What you really should be getting across is a better way of marketing and promotion such as that laid out in The Renegade Network Marketer.

Does this surprise you? It shouldn’t. Many people who begin their journey as a Renegade Network Marketer ask a very pertinent question - “If we are targeting network marketers then isn’t this a little unethical?”
That’s a very good question but reality is, you don’t target other network marketers when you apply the principles of attraction marketing as outlined by Sieg in The Renegade System. Such is the power of attraction marketing, other network marketers become you’re most likely prospect simply because most are disatisfied with their current business, company or upline.
That’s just the way it is. Ask yourself this, are you currently satisfied with the way your network marketing business is performing?
Network marketers are pulled in by the attraction marketing process in droves; like bears to a honeypot. Why? Because the process takes them from one of suspicion to developing a trust and relationship for the person that’s prospecting them. That’s the power of attraction marketing.
When you are able to win the trust and respect of a prospect over a period of time you can virtually forget the prepared sales pitch you’re saving for them. The fact is, they will want to join you because you’ve demonstrated a certain quality of mentorship and they just want to be a part of it. They want to join you and not your company.

Sure there are MLMers attracted into your funnel who are looking for a more potent and successful method of lead generation but be rest assured, a very large percentage are not happy with their current lot or simply in between companies.
