RECRUITING NETWORK MARKETERS TO BUILD YOUR BUSINESSThere are many reasons why you should recruit only existing network marketers to build your business. Existing network marketers (MLMers) already believe in the industry, and they do not require as much training and hand holdingas rookies. They also do not quit as easily as rookies and basic business opportunity seekers. They always are looking for more money and time, and that is exactly what network marketing offers. They always are willing to join a winning opportunity, and they generally know one when they see one.
START CONTACTING NETWORK MARKETERS NOW
Start contacting network marketers people immediately. Make your calls when it is convenient for you. If you reach the person, use the calling script attached. If you do not reach the person, leave a message using the answering machine script attached.
I call people either after 9:00 AM or before 9:00 PM in that person‘s time zone. I will call everyday, including all day on Saturdays, Sunday afternoons and evenings, and all day on holidays. (Actually, especially Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.) Everyone usually is home on these days, and MLMers are very easy to speak with then. Do not believe anyone who tells you these are bad days to call people.
Nothing is further from the truth.
Also, be very frank with people who ask you the name of the company you represent. See the attached scripts for ways to answer. Basically, you answer, “I'm with a group of leaders called Strategic Mentoring. I don't know if you have heard of us, but we're getting a tremendous response from our permanent downline concept and are seeing true exponential growth. Have you seen them?”
There is absolutely no need to be coy about this. I cannot tell you how many times people will call me and will never answer the simple question, “What is the name of your company?” Always get right to the point.
In addition, be very frank with people who ask how you got their name and number. Tell them, “I got your name and number from your company's genealogy list. Is it possible that you might be open to taking a look at a winning opportunity?” This is how ALL top earners in MLM (making more than $5,000 monthly) did it in the past, do it right now, and will do it in the future.
HOW TO GET COMFORTABLE CALLING OTHER NETWORK MARKETERS
Here is one way to get comfortable calling network marketers.
Days 1 - 5: Make calls for 30 minutes at a time of YOUR choosing. Make at least 10 contacts, either a “live” person or an answering machine. If you make 10 contacts in less than 30 minutes, continue until the 30 minutes are up. (Do NOT count bad numbers.)
Days 6 - 10: Make calls for 45 minutes at a time of YOUR choosing. Make at least 15 contacts, either a “live” person or an answering machine. If you make 15 contacts in less than 45 minutes, continue until the 45 minutes are up. (Do NOT count bad numbers.)
Days 11 - 15: Make calls for 60 minutes at a time of YOUR choosing. Make at least 20 contacts, either a “live” person or an answering machine. If you make 20 contacts in less than 60 minutes, continue until the 60 minutes are up. (Do NOT count bad numbers.)
Days 16 - 20: Make calls for 75 minutes at a time of YOUR choosing. Make at least 25 contacts, either a “live” person or an answering machine. If you make 25 contacts in less than 75 minutes, continue until the 75 minutes are up. (Do NOT count bad numbers.)
Always leave your name and number on every answering machine/voice mail. Always leave either the web siteaddress or the recorded call number or both. If you wish, leave the live call number. Just do not make the message too long. Practice it about 10 times before you get on the phone, and adjust it as necessary as you make the calls. I find that I can leave the web site the 6-minute call number, and my name and number within 30 seconds. Just make sure you keep the message short. (If you reach a “live” person, also keep your initial statement at 30 seconds or less.)
If you wish, makes calls for 3 days in a row and then take ONE day off. Then, do calls for another 3 days in a row and take another ONE day off. Then, you may wish to do calls every other day. Make sure you eventually average at least 60 minutes of calling a day. That means 2 hours every other day of you wish to skip a day in between calling. Calling creates momentum, and calling really feeds on itself. It becomes much easier after just a few days of doing it.
USE THE RECOMMENDED SCRIPTS
I have found that these scripts really work. They are very short, direct, and professional. There is no nonsense, no hype, and no wasted time. This is fair both to the person you are calling and to you. Keep your answering machine message to no more than 30 seconds. Keep your initial “live” message statement to no more than 30 seconds. If the person is not interested, simply thank the person for the time, and then get off the phone. Do not try to change a person's mind. That is rude, inconsiderate, counter-productive, and arrogant. Always be polite and professional.
CONCLUSION
Outside of very massive emailing (hundreds of thousands per day), a capability that most of us do not have and that is very difficult to do properly, calling other network marketers is the quickest and easiest way to build your business and downline. These folks are the most receptive to your message, they see the benefits quickly, and they do not require much hand holding.This is how everyone making more than $5,000 monthly built a business and downline.
Start slowly with 30 minutes a day of calling and work up to what works for you. I recommend at least 60 minutes a day as an average. This might mean 2 hours every other day, or it might mean 30 minutes one day and 90 minutes the next. Better yet, commit to an average of 90-120 minutes a day. Believe me, it works.
P.S. THE "DO NOT CALL" MANIA
Okay, I'm not 100% certain on the "Do Not Call" regulations and how they apply to you. Some people say they don't apply others say they do, so you'll have to do your own research. What I do now, is I went and got 5 free area code lists from the FTC and scrub my own list with excel. It's a pain, but I'm a geek so I don't mind. You can do the same thing or visit the dnc scrubbing folks where for a small fee will provide you with all your DNC protection.
Quite frankly, however, you are not making any explicit sales pitch, so the regulations again do not appear to apply. Stick to the scripts we use, and you should be okay.
Having said this, do not debate the point with anyone who objects because he or she is on the "do not call" list. Simply excuse yourself politely and get off the phone. Simply say:
"I am sorry to have bothered you. It will not happen again. Please take care. Goodbye."
