If Their Lips are Moving…..

Over the last 3-4 years, Wall Street placed bets on risky debt obligations called derivatives. Now, trillions of dollars in losses are hitting Main Street right between the eyes. We just lost another 159,000 jobs this month, the most in five years, and it’s clear that we face the most serious recession in over 25 years.

On Wall Street, those masters of the universe with the obscene bonuses to prove it have been taken down by their own idiotic inventions. The top five firms on Wall Street were thought to be “too big to fail.” But Bear Stearns is gone, Lehman Brothers is gone, Merrill was forced to sell out, and the last big names, J.P. Morgan and Goldman, have waved the white flag and petitioned the government to allow them to become ordinary deposit taking banks…amazing.

How bad will this get? Well, listen to what our top leaders have lied to us about over the last 5 years. “FED Chairman Alan Greenspan relaxed about house prices…this is not a bubble of any magnitude” reported the Financial Times in 2005. “Most negatives in housing are probably behind us…” Greenspan said in October 2006. “We believe the effect of the troubles in the subprime sector…will be likely limited…” said Ben Bernanke in March 2007. It’s “not a serious problem…I think it’s going to be largely contained,” added Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson in April 2007. Every word they’ve said so far has been 180 degrees from the truth.

 Now, these same people are telling us that they will save capitalism from itself with this $700 Billion bailout. For the last 15 years, the U.S. money supply has grown about twice as fast as GDP. Federal government liabilities, meanwhile, have grown three times as fast. As a result, the USA now has 30% more financial obligations than assets. It is, effectively, bankrupt. This year’s US government deficit will add about half a trillion. The US trade deficit is about $700 billion. The U.S. bailout plan will probably cost at least $1 trillion more. Where will the government get that kind of money? Everything is at risk now. The economy, jobs, housing prices…essentially our way of life.

However, we see this as an enormous opportunity. For those that have been prepared for this crisis…the smart money….this is exactly when huge fortunes are made. Generational fortunes. Great values will be had in the next 1-2 years in real estate and the stock market, and this is when lasting legacies are created. We will be at the front of the line to take advantage of them.

This approach is highly targeted since the people on these lists have already proven to be at one time interested in network marketing, they have at least a basic understanding of how the compensation plans work, and they at one time had a small spark or desire to create an additional income.

They are mostly selling the “system” to do these broadcasts in some kind of modified 1-up or 2-up system and those unsuspecting prey are lead to believe they will be rolling in the dough in multiple streams of income, since you can use the same system to build your primary business later on… after you’ve recouped your system investment.

The problem with these systems are they way over priced, and you can get the same thing done for way less… especially if all you want to do is leave a voice mail message. So what if they are provided with a couple million genealogy leads, you can get free mlm downline reports online. Even if you wanted to have a live transfer of a prospect that listened to the pitch, you can get this for on a couple dollars per transfer.

Why pay the huge setup fee?

But that’s not the worst part about these systems… effective prospecting and recruiting requires live contact. Leaving voice mail messages and expecting people to call back or visit your website is not rational thinking. Yeah, some will, but the vast majority will just ignore your message.

You see, a live personal touch is required to pique their interest enough so that they want to go visit your website. That is the only purpose of your first contact, and if you are on the phone with a prospect for more than 30 seconds, you’re doing something wrong. The bottom line is you need to keep your initial pitch professional, quick, and fun. If you do it right, more than half the folks will agree to look at your website. Anything less than 25% means your pitch needs to be worked on.

Of course, only a percentage of you yes’s will follow through and look at your information, but here too if you’re doing it right at least half of them will. Much less than that and more work on that initial contact is required.

The fact of the matter is, MLM genealogy leads are your target market. They have at one time spent money on some kind of opportunity, which means there is a very good chance that they will join another, if approached properly and if the timing is right.

We often hear success online is 80% marketing and promotion and 20% technical knowledge. That’s pretty close to the mark. But reality dictates that simply knowing this as fact will not get you anywhere near the finish line.

After the initial greetings our desperate marketer starts to think I’ve got to get this person to join my business. I’ll wow them with some impressive stats about my company and products and they won’t be able to resist joining.

Then it happens…the eyes roll over and they start with a sales pitch about their company, their products and themselves.

“Our company has been around for 20 years and is rock solid with a great management team. Our products will change your life and you need to be on them, your family needs to be on them in fact, everyone you know needs to be on them blah, blah, blah…”

Our desperate network marketer has killed any chance of working with this prospect.

Why?

Well, if you follow the guidelines set out in the Renegade Network Marketer the whole call was not about the prospect but themselves.

Big mistake! Unless you’re willing to to show the prospect that you are what their looking for, not your opportunity, then the desperate marketer tag will stick like glue and your business will lie stagnant.

Yes they may have got the renegade attraction marketing process right but that’s only a part of the entire equation. Just be careful not to let your initial prospect finding work go to waste.
